Capture real time video of flaming fireballs, meteors and new classes of atmospheric objects discovered only since the 1990’s.
The newly discovered objects called Sprites, Elves, and Blue Jets are are known as Transient Luminous Events (TLE). They were first discovered in 1990's. These mysterious atmospheric objects can be captured and studied with the ASTROVID FireballCam.
The ASTROVID FireballCam is weather-proofed for use outside all year long. The housing is both heated and fan cooled. This allows you to image in extreme temperature conditions from the coldest days of winter to the warmest days of summer.
The fast auto-iris lens used in the ASTROVID FireballCam covers the proper area of the sky to capture the maximum number of meteors and other phenomena. The ASTROVID FireballCam can also be used throughout the day as the lens constantly adjusts with the changing light conditions.
Output from the FireballCam can go to any camcorder, television, digital recorder or VCR.
It is also possible with optional equipment to input the data into a computer and analyze the events.
